My bucket list

Being the planner that I am, I’ve already been thinking about things I want to do in 2011. But it’s too early to post a 2011 goals list like I did for 2010 in one of my opening blog entries. So instead, I’m going to post my bucket list, which actually includes many of the “To Do” items that I have in mind for 2011.

So here it is. I’ll most likely be adding to it, and if any of you care to join, I’d love to share these experiences with good friends.

  • Learn how to play the guitar (already signed up for Guitar 2 in the fall!)
  • Visit Spain (including Ibiza)
  • Relearn Spanish
  • Visit New Zealand
  • Visit Australia (on a work trip, nonetheless!)
  • Visit Brazil, particularly Rio
  • Visit Ireland
  • Snowboard in Whistler (2011 baby!)
  • Snowboard in another country (thinking Switzerland)
  • Learn how to surf
  • “Relearn” how to skateboard
  • Live in a big city, maybe even another country
  • Visit Hawaii (killed two birds by going for a wedding)
  • Go to the Sundance Film Festival (another 2011 accomplishment!)
  • Go to Bonnaroo
  • Go to Austin City Limits
  • Visit Nashville
  • Visit New Orleans
  • Run a marathon
  • Go on a houseboat trip to Lake Powell (Happy 30th Sokey!)
  • Visit Bali
  • Visit the Polynesian Islands with my sister
  • Visit Patagonia
  • Hike Machu Picchu
  • Camp in Yosemite
  • Visit Montreal
  • Snowboard Banff
  • Own a house
  • Hike a 14er
  • Climb Mount Whitney
  • Visit all 59 National Parks
  • Climb Half Dome
  • Sleep in a treehouse (i.e. lodge/hotel)
  • Complete the Rim to Rim hike in the Grand Canyon
  • Visit Cuba
  • Visit Colombia
  • Trek the Camino del Santiago
